russian Strike on Kyiv Kills 5, Including Child, Injures 21

A russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv has left at least five people dead, including a child, and injured 21 others. Multiple districts of the capital were hit, including Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Desnianskyi.

The Obolonskyi district suffered significant damage. Fires broke out among parked vehicles, and nearby warehouse facilities, a tire service shop, and a retail building were damaged. Two people were killed in the area. Six others were injured, including four paramedics and two police officers who had responded to the scene.

In the Podilskyi district, several strike locations were reported. At one site, an impact in an open area caused severe damage to the facades of nearby residential buildings. Rescue workers recovered two individuals from the rubble, including a 12-year-old child. Three more people sustained injuries from shattered glass.

At another location in the district, two hotels and nearby buildings were damaged, leaving two people injured. Elsewhere, strikes near residential buildings caused facade destruction and blocked entrances; three people were reported injured there.

A separate incident involved the destruction of a single-story residential house, where two people, including a child, were rescued from under the debris.

Another strike hit the sixth floor of a 16-story residential building. Ten residents were evacuated safely, and no fire or injuries were reported at that site.

In the Desnianskyi district, a fire broke out in a two-story residential building, but no casualties were reported.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, impacts were recorded on a playground and near a residential building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in that area.

Emergency services continue to work at the affected sites, clearing debris and assisting victims. The information is still being уточнено as response efforts continue.
