Massive missile attack on Ukraine: many cities are under attack, there are dead and wounded

On Friday morning, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, firing several waves of missiles. Several cities were under attack at once, there were dead and injured.

Before that, the Russians attacked Ukraine with dozens of "Shakheds", some of them flew to Lviv and caused destruction to it.

After 6:30 in the morning, a new missile attack on Ukraine began.

The Air Force of Ukraine reported the launch of cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft.

Subsequently, the spokesman of the Air Force of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat announced on the air of the telethon that the Russians fired at Ukraine with various types of missiles.

"Actually, everything flew, apparently, there were no Calibers. And we also saw Daggers, and ballistics, and S-300, and cruise missiles," he noted.

Ignat said that the Russians also used Shahedi and Kh-22 missiles.

"About 18 Tu-95 strategic bombers were also used. According to preliminary information, Kh-101, Kh-555 missiles," he added.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that the Russians had fired about 110 missiles over the territory of Ukraine, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces.

"A maternity hospital, educational institutions, a shopping center, high-rise buildings and private houses, a commercial warehouse, a parking lot. Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia and our other cities. Today, Russia beat almost everything it has in its arsenal." Zelensky wrote in a telegram.

Kyiv

Some of the missiles were directed in the direction of Kyiv .

The KMVA reported on the work of air defense and falling debris in the Svyatoshyn and Podil districts of the capital. According to preliminary information, a residential high-rise building caught fire.

In the Podilsk district, a fire was also reported in the territory of warehouses. According to preliminary information, there are wounded.

Also, the administration says about damage to residential buildings in Shevchenkivskyi and Darnytskyi districts.

Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko reported on five victims in the capital.

According to his information, in the Podilsk district, doctors provided assistance to two men on the spot.

One victim was hospitalized in Sviatoshyn district and two in Shevchenkiv district.

Later, Klitschko added that seven people were hospitalized, five of them in the Shevchenko district.

He also said that three people are under the rubble of a warehouse damaged by rocket fragments in the Shevchenkiv district.

Later, Klitschko reported that the body of one dead person was recovered from the rubble, and later the KMVA added that the number of dead had increased to two, and the number of wounded to 18.

Klitschko also added that the explosion damaged the building of the Lukyanivska metro station. According to him, the station works as a shelter, but trains will not stop there.

Later, KMVA reported that the station had resumed its work.

Lviv

Lviv also came under Russian rocket fire .

The head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported the sounds of explosions in the city.

According to preliminary information, there was a hit in a residential building, there are victims.

He added that a fire started in one of Lviv's lyceums, probably due to falling rocket debris.

Later, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, announced in a telethon that a man in his 40s died as a result of the shelling, and eight people were injured.

He added that a total of ten houses were damaged in the city.

Kharkiv

Kharkiv also suffered several waves of Russian strikes .

The mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, announced on the air of the telethon that there were a total of 22 strikes in different areas of the city in Kharkiv.

Civilian facilities were damaged, including a hospital, a school, and a branch of Novaya Poshta, he added.

According to Oleg Sinegubov, the head of Kharkiv OVA, a 35-year-old man was killed and eight people were injured.

Dnipro

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov also reported on the dead and injured as a result of Russian strikes in the city.

Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhiy Lysak, told the details.

"Tragic morning for the region. The enemy attacked with rockets. Previously, almost a dozen people were injured. Four died," he wrote in a telegram.

According to him, a fire broke out in Dnipro as a result of hitting a shopping center.

A private house, a six-story building and a maternity hospital were also damaged.

Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that five people died and 15 were injured.

Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued four patients of the maternity hospital that was hit, added the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

Odesa

On the air of the telethon, the deputy head of Odesa OVA, Oleksandr Kharlov, said that as a result of Russian attacks in Odesa , two people died, 10 were injured, among them two children.

Later, Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, clarified that 15 people were injured, the injured children were 6 and 8 years old. Two injured are in serious condition.

"After the night attack by drones, in the morning the Russians launched a missile attack on Odesa. The enemy targeted residential buildings of civilians," he wrote in a telegram.

Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that in Odesa there was a hit in a three-story building, under the rubble of which people may be.

Also, at least two more houses were damaged in Odesa.

The emergency services rescued 23 people from the residential 17-type roof.

Zaporizhzhia

The head of Zaporizhzhia OVA Yury Malashko reported that Zaporizhzhia was also hit by a Russian missile attack.

"The enemy's targets were the territories of several enterprises in the city. One of the rockets hit an open area, another destroyed a private house. The blast wave and debris damaged high-rise buildings in one of the districts of the regional center," he wrote in a telegram.

According to him, one woman died and 10 people were injured.

People may also be under the rubble of buildings, he added.
